Supper Tomorrow Night

Guess what’s for supper tomorrow night? Our tomatoes are finally ripe! We have three plants and several of the tomatoes are ready to pick! I can’t wait. I love tomatoes! I’ve been standing in the backyard with my salt shaker in my hand! Did I mention that I love tomatoes? I’m going to the grocery in the morning to get some sliced jowl bacon, Miracle Whip, and a loaf bread. Nothing else – well, maybe a few chips. That’s all we need to have meal. I love summer and tomatoes….

You have no idea how much I envy you fresh homegrown tomatoes, Lesa. There's just nothing like them. If I could have a garden where we live, I'd have twenty tomato plants!

Mmmm....I'll be right over! Um, well, guess not since you're about 5 states or so away from me. ;o)

I do love me some fresh garden maters. Nothing else like 'em, including those hard as a rock store bought thangs.

Enjoy your ripe maters, Lesa. ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

BLTs are one of our favorite summer meals. We eat them once a week. I replace my bacon with cucumbers, and put a little hummus on there. I am not a meat lover.

What a gorgeous tomato! And I bet it was delicious! I just love fresh tomatoes.

I noticed on your profile page that you mentioned Beverly Cleary as one of your favorite authors. There is no author on earth that I love more than Beverly Cleary! I think she is just amazing! I even named my cat Otis, after Otis Spofford. And I used to have a very sweet cat named Ramona, after you-know-who! I have all of her books and I absolutely cannot wait to read them to my kid. (who will be born in November!)

Anyway, thanks for visiting my blog! I look forward to reading more of yours!

I am kicking myself like crazy for not planting some tomatoes. I was just asking Mom last night when the tomatoes would be getting ripe. The good news is, sweet corn is on the way! I am so ready for fresh tomatoes & sweet corn!
